In our previous post, we spoke about the reasons for inspiration to create our underwear brand and how we worship the male body with each of the garments designed. That is why this time we have decided to interview our designer, Kate Laverde, who will tell us a little bit more about the essence and entire purpose of Perseus Underwear.

 

What was the inspiration for creating the Danae collection?

Kate Laverde (KL):  After a brainstorming session and learned about the process of creating the brand and the epic history behind it, I was inspired by the birth of a warrior, the beginning of a battle and the renascence of an empire.  The Danae collection is aimed at cautious, ostentatious, powerful, sensual, and brave men in search of power.

 

How does this collection reflect the identity of the epic warrior Perseus in terms of colors and patterns?

KL:  In Perseus Underwear, we are governed by the current trends, even in those that you would think could be implemented in women’s clothing only. Every element used in making clothing, such as cuts, transparencies, fabric combinations, textures, contrasts, brightness, everything we see in casual clothes, catwalks, and so on, is used in our silhouettes, boxers-briefs, trunks, briefs, and jockstraps. Perseus manages to reinvent today’s man style, giving him the possibility of wearing avant-garde intimate garment.

Our goal is to provide a space for men who dare to do more, allowing them to use colors, prints, and silhouettes that will make them feel unique and invincible.

 

What are the exclusive textile finishes of Perseus Underwear garments and what are their benefits as masculine underwear?

KL: We work with fine-quality fabrics of the best Colombian factories with specialized fibers for the use of intimate garments, odor control, and humidity management among others, which allow our clients to feel a second layer of skin that provides maximum comfort for   day-to-day battles.

 

What printing technique does Perseus Underwear use and why?

KL:  Most of our prints are made by digital sublimation because we can create exclusive graphic designs and express them in our garments.  Additionally, we have the technology required to make the colors look alive and remain intact after hundreds of washes.

 

How are garments displayed for the 2018 Summer Season?

KL: Without a doubt, for Summer 2018, sensuality will play the main role. We will present more daring designs; we will also present a collection loaded with bright colors, metallic fabrics, and striking prints.

 

In conclusion, our most recent collection is aimed at spontaneous, seductive, daring, and self-confident men who are ready to break body-centered stereotypes.
